Jaguar launches F-Type SVR Coupe, Convertible models in India price starting at Rs 2.45 crore
Jaguar launched the F-Type SVR models which have been created by the Special Vehicle Operations division of the company.

Jaguar on Friday launched its latest offering in the F-Type range in India with the SVR Coupe and Convertible models. The Jaguar F-Type SVR Coupe was launched at a price of Rs 2.45 crore (ex-showroom), while the Convertible is priced at Rs 2.63 crore (ex-showroom).
Both these models by the Jaguar come with features such as a lightweight titanium and Inconel exhaust that reduced the weight of the vehicles by 16kg. In addition the 20-inch alloy wheels too saves some extra weight on the vehicle.
The vehicles have been made by the company's Special Vehicle Operations division.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR comes with a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine that dishes out a power of 575 BHP and 700Nm peak torque. Jaguar has tuned the engine which has resulted in an increase in power by 25BHP and raised torque by 20Nm in comparison to the F-Type R model.
The engine comes with a 8-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive system with Electronic Active Differential that increases traction and stability.
This allows the F-Type SVR Coupe achieve 0-100kmph in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 322 kmph. The Jaguar F-Type SVR Convertible can achieve 0-100kmph in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 314 kmph.
The difference in the top speed of the two cars is due to the weight difference. The Coupe weighs slightly heavier at 1,705 kg, while the Convertible weighs about 1,702 kg.
The cars also get a carbon fibre rear aerodynamic wing, SVR performance seats and heated SVR leather steering wheel with aluminum gearshift paddles.
Besides this, the car also has navigation Pro, Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), Touch Pro for entertainment with Meridian 380 W Sound System and 10 speakers, and has Torque Vectoring that helps the car maneuver in tight corners.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR Coupe will take on the Porsche 911 Turbo S, Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R and Nissan GT-R. The Convertible will compete with the Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet.
