To commemorate the occasion, the bikemaker has decided to roll out a new Jawa Anniversary Edition, according to media reports.
According to the auto firm, the Jawa Anniversary Edition will be available for immediate delivery to those customers who have already pre-booked a Jawa bike or would make one before 22nd October. The price of Anniversary Edition will be slightly higher than the regular single-channel ABS and dual-channel models that cost Rs 1.64 lakh and Rs 1.73 lakh respectively, said the report, adding that all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
The Anniversary Edition bike will reportedly feature special 90th-anniversary badge on the fuel tank covered in pinstripes along with black seat cover. Further, it will also be painted in a special classic colour, resembling the original 1929 Jawa 500 OHV motorcycle’s colour scheme, it added.
The Jawa Anniversary Edition will be matched to a 6-speed gearbox, besides using the 293cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine generating power worth 26bhp and 28Nm of torque. The bike will also have telescopic forks upfront and dual shocks at the rear, it added.
Earlier versions of the Jawa Motorcycles are powered by an all-new 293cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder, DOHC engine nestled within a double cradle chassis.

Jawa Motorcycles have witnessed an overwhelming response and minimum waiting period was five months for both the bikes--Jawa and Jawa 42--in major cities across the country in the early month of this year. Deliveries for these bikes commenced on March 31, but delivery for the ABS variants begun after June 2019.
