Finally, the long wait is coming to an end today as South Korean automotive giant Kia is launching its 1st car - SELTOS - in India. The bookings for this much-awaited mid-size SUV are being accepted across all Kia dealerships in 160 cities along with the Kia official website for a token amount of Rs 25,000. "Since the commencement of pre-booking on July 16th, 2019, Kia Seltos has already gathered record-breaking bookings of 23,311 in a short span of just 3 weeks, as per the latest report issued by the company at 1400 hrs of 8th August," as per a company statement.
Now, all eyes are on the price announcement. Keeping in mind the features, looks, technology, engine and other aspects, KIA SELTOS may be priced between Rs 11 lakhs to Rs 16 lakhs, for its base to top variants.

The Seltos will be BSVI compliant right from its launch. It will be available in a brand new Smartstream engine that will come in three variants: 1.5 Petrol, 1.5 Diesel, first in segment 1.4 Turbo Petrol. The mid-SUV offers 3 automatic transmission variants – 7DCT, IVT, and 6 AT along with 6 speed Manual Transmission.
The Kia Seltos will be available in two trims - Tech Line and GT Line - and will get features such as 8.0 heads-up-display, 10.25 HD touchscreen, a hi-tech sound mood lamp, a rear shade curtain, 360 degree surround view monitor, blind spot monitoring, world’s first connect air-purifier, highly advanced proprietary UVO connect system for seamless and wireless communication with the car, 8-Speaker Bose Hi-Fi sound system and more.
The Seltos will be manufactured in Kia’s 536-acre Anantapur plant with an annual capacity of 3,00,000 units. Kia recently rolled out the production version of its first car for India, the Seltos, manufactured at its facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The company further announced the commencement of mass production of the Seltos in India after testing the vehicle over 20 Lakh kilometers in different climatic conditions and some of the most challenging terrains in India.
