Mercedes-Benz launches latest SUV GLC priced at Rs 50 lakh

Mercedes-Benz on Thursday announced the launch of its new SUV GLC at Rs 50.7 lakh and the GLC 300 at Rs 50.90 lakh. 

The cars will be offered with a 5 colour option. 

This is the 6th SUV in the Mercedes-Benz portfolio. Mercedes-Benz GLC is the SUV based on C-class platform and was first showcased in during Autoexpo 2016.

The GLC comes with two engine options, one is 2,143cc turbojet diesel engine and the other a 1,991cc turbojet petrol engine. Both produce 170hp at 3000-4200 rpm and 400nm of torque at 1400-2800 rpm. The car is also capable of doing a 0-100 km/h dash in just 8.3 seconds with a top speed of 210 Km/h. It also have a 9-speed automatic transmission. 

Mercedes-Benz has largest SUV portfolio in India. The year 2016 has been best fiscal year with 13,558 units sold till March.
