Royal Enfield Classic 350S launched in India at Rs 1.45 lakh

Royal Enfield has launched a low-cost variant of Classic 350, the all-new Royal Enfield Classic 350S, at a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). The new offering comes after affordable versions of Bullet 350 KS (Kick Start) and Bullet 350 ES (Electric Start). Royal Enfield Classic 350S is likely to come with a single-channel ABS and would be nearly Rs 9,000 cheaper than Royal Enfield Classic 350, which sports dual-channel ABS and costs around Rs 1.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), according to an Autocar India report.

Currently, Royal Enfield Classic 350 S is available only in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The new Royal Enfield bike comes in colour options of Pure Black and Mercury Silver, besides having four paint schemes including Chestnut, Silver, Black and Ash.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 S also boasts of a blacked-out theme on the wheels and engine, along with graphic logo on the fuel tank. The Classic 350 S comes with the same 346cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, twinspark, air-cooled, 346 cc engine that powers Classic 350 in its powertrain option.

The new Royal Enfield bike gets a telescopic fork suspension at the front, while the rear has twin gas-charged shock absorbers. The new variant gets a disc brake at the front while the rear now features a drum brake setup.

According to the Autocar India report, the motor delivers 19.8 bhp and 28 Nm of peak torque, as the bike is offered with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. Despite the design change, the performance of Classic 350 S remains the same as the standard model.
