Commercial vehicles major, Ashok Leyland announced a 12% drop in December sales on Monday.
The company’s total sale volume declined from 12,154 units in 2015 to 10,731 this year.
Its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) sales volume dropped 9% from 9,703 units in December 2015 to 8,782 units.
The company’s data showed that its light commercial vehicle sales took a hit in December falling 12% to 1,949 units from 2,451 units in December 2015.
Shares of Ashok Leyland dropped marginally from Rs 81 to Rs 80.70 per share on BSE Sensex intraday.
