BSNL ties up with Ericsson to bring 5G tech in India

State-run telecom service operator BSNL has signed an MoU with Ericsson India to bring 5G technology, create new ecosystems and for developing new use cases and business models. The tie-up will help Ericsson help augment 5G research globally and add new use cases for the upcoming networking standard.
Anupam Shrivastava, CMD at BSNL, in a tweet said 5G will be the backbone for the success of the Prime Minister's "DigitalIndia vision".

BSNL intends to take the lead in the development of these new technologies. This association reinforces BSNL’s commitment to develop 5G ecosystem to support the vision of DigitalIndia, the state-run telecom service provider said.
Ericsson India on its Twitter handle said it was proud to announce this partnership with BSNL to bring 5G technology, create new ecosystems and to develop new use cases and business models for India.
