GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals on Saturday stated that its net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2016, period had declined by 33% on year-on-year (YoY) basis.
The company reported net profit of Rs 52.95 crore, a drop of 32.91% from Rs 78.93 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Compared with Rs 98.85 crore of preceding quarter, the net profit declined by 46.43%.
Total income from operations stood at Rs 706.38 crore, decreasing by 5.90% year-on-year (YoY) and 11.60% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).
Operating profit (EBITDA) was at Rs 45.50 crore, down by 54.62% from Rs 100.27 crore a year ago same period.
On Friday, the shares of GlaxoSmithKline Pharma closed at Rs 2741.05 per piece on BSE, above Rs 8 or 0.32%.
