Data war! Airtel takes on Reliance Jio with new Rs 49 pack; all details here
In the latest development, Airtel has launched a new Rs 49 pack, Rs 45 pack and has also upgraded it's Rs 99 pack for prepaid customers.
The table has been set once again for a data war as the largest telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has launched a number of new low-budgeted offers for prepaid customers, stirring up competition with it’s rival Reliance Jio again. Looks like Airtel has increased its efforts to lure more customers by providing heavy duty data packs. Notably, it is Reliance Jio that has been known for it’s heavy data offers, unlimited packs and many other freebies in telecom market, that have been tormenting companies like Airtel who have been witnessing loses in their earnings. In the latest development, Airtel has launched a new Rs 49 pack, Rs 45 pack and has also upgraded it’s Rs 99 pack for prepaid customers.
The new Rs 49 pack is offering a whopping 3GB data in 3G/4G network. However the validity period to enjoy this data is only one day.
While the Rs 45 pack gives an unlimited Hello Tune download for validity period of 28 days.
Meantime, the Rs 99 Airtel pack is offering unlimited local, STD calls alongside free outgoing calls in national roaming. In the plan 1G GB data in 3G/4G is given, whereas 100 local and STD SMS per day - for a validity of 10 days. The plan earlier offered 2GB data services without any unlimited call feature.
While RJio has different offer compared to that of Airtel. In a validity period of 1 day, the Mukesh Ambani led company is offering 0.15GB data in 4G network with unlimited voice calls and 20 SMS.
Apart from this, RJio has Rs 52 pack for prepaid customers, where the company is providing 1.05GB data in 4GB network for seven days. Per day, a customer will get 0.15GB data. Apart from this, the offer also involves unlimited voice calls and 70 SMS.
Both the packs from Reliance Jio have complimentary subscription to all Jio apps.
