Budget passenger carrier IndiGo on Tuesday placed a firm order for 300 more A320neo family aircraft with Airbus. The development marks one of Airbus` largest ever aircraft order with a single airline operator.
IndiGo said that the latest order comprises a mix of A320neo, A321neo and A321XLR aircraft.
"This will take IndiGo`s total number of A320neo family aircraft orders to 730," the airline said in a statement.
At present, the airline has a fleet of over 200 aircraft and offers close to 1,500 daily flights and connects 60 domestic and 23 international destinations.
