Myntra, the first and only e-commerce portal to shut down its desktop and mobile website, and to go app-only, was found red in the face when several customers took to Twitter complaining about the app.
Turns out, Myntra's app faced technical glitches on May 19, which led it to spam customers with numerous notifications for orders they'd never placed.
Disgruntled customers took to Twitter:
@myntra seriously I didn't order anything... annoying notifications #myntra @MyntraSupport

Anyone else getting constant notifications from @myntra app confirming delivery of orders you didn't place?

Deleted @myntra App, got at least 5000 notifications of order delivery and confirmation.

The next day, Myntra apologised to its customers in a long-form blog post.
Yes, we aren't perfect. But we are trying: https://t.co/qvhdUnG8Zu @myntra

However, many customers uninstalled the app to get rid of the spate of notifications before the issue was fixed.
