Now, Salman Khan's Being Human brand ventures into electric bicycles
Salman Khan has been working with his team on the bicycle segment for Being Human for a while and will soon launch the electric bicycles.

Bollywood star Salman Khan will now launch battery powered bicycles under the Being Human brand. The actor on Monday will launch two battery-powered bicycles and the development comes on World Environment Day.
The exact pricing of the two bicycles will be made known at the time of the launch, according to Moneycontrol report quoting a source. Since they are bicycles they will not need any driving license or vehicle registration and can be ridden like any normal cycle, said the report.

It has a battery pack which on the switch of a button will take over the propulsion system of the bicycle. The mode is meant to ease manual exertion of a rider especially while climbing steep slopes.
Khan's entry into the e-bicycle segment comes at a time when the government is looking to push electric vehicles. There are also a few players in this segment with only a handful of them having a national reach, said the report.
Most of the e-bicycles are priced in the range between Rs 25,000 to Rs 45,000 depending on the power of the battery.
Khan has been working along with his team on the new venture over the past few months. However, it got a major boost recently with the appointment of key personnel at the senior level for the venture.
One of them include, Atul Gupta, former executive vice president of Suzuki Motorcycle India has been hired to lead the new venture as the Managing Director and CEO of Being Human E-Cycle.
Khan has known Gupta for a while now as the actor was the brand ambassador of Suzuki bikes in India. The company had also gifted Khan a few of its premium performance bikes.
