Reliance Jio offers GST Suvidha Provider services; rollsout JioGST starter kit for Rs 1999

Telecom operator, Reliance Jio announced the sale of a ‘GST ready’ starter kit on its website which will offer software solutions for a year.

The company has offered unlimited voice and 24GB data for a year in this starter kit along with a software solutions, a JioFi device and mobile based billing application for the price of Rs 1999.

Doorstep SIM activation in select cities will be available for the JioFi device - the portable broadband device, the company said. And EMI for the JioGST starter kit starts from Rs 95.03.

Jio is offering GST Suvidha Provider, or GSP, and Application Service Providers, or ASP services for one year with this device. In what Jio is calling a ‘mobile first’ compliance solution, the company said, “Computer or any accounting/billing software are not essential for merchants.”

The company is claiming to offer five services for the cost price of one for the first year.

The JioGST starter kit comprises of GST filing services, JioFi device, an unlimited voice plus data plan, Jio billing application and JioGST knowledge series. The total ‘market value’ for which the company said would amount to Rs 10,884+; however Jio is giving this package for Rs 1999.

With the rollout of GST on the midnight of July 1, the company is offering this mobile based billing application which will hold a daily summary of invoices for ‘full GST compliance.’ JioGST starter kit will automatically populate the purchase summary, the company said.

“Readily available catalog of thousands of consumer, grocery & electronic products with tax codes,” Jio said.

The company is offering the JioGST starter kit with access to JioGST empanelled tax practitioners.

“Get access to thousands of JioGST empanelled tax practitioners,” the company’s website said.

Jio said with this starter kit customers can find an expert tax practitioner near them and authorize a professional to file tax returns as well.
