South Korean giant, Samsung India declared today that the company will hire more new talent across verticals in the coming year as it "continuously realigns resources" as per business priorities. In the last year, the company says it generated 2000 new jobs.
"In the past one year, we have generated 2,000 new jobs at Samsung. Samsung India`s business continues to grow and expand, hence we will hire more talent across businesses through the year," a Samsung spokesperson told IANS.
However, the spokesperson added, "As we contribute to job creation, we continuously realign resources as per business priorities to make our business more robust and efficient for long-term success".
With the entry of Chinese companies such as Xiaomi and OnePlus in the extremely competitive Indian smartphone business, it affected the growth of Samsung and profit remained under strain.
