Vistara Mumbai-Dubai daily service inaugurated; airline celebrates in style
Vistara was welcomed in Dubai with a special celebratory event organised by Dubai Airports in the presence of Eugene Barry, Executive Vice President - Commercial, Dubai Airports.
Full-service carrier Vistara has launched its daily service between Mumbai and Dubai on Wednesday. The airline has now become the only one to offer the choice of Premium Economy class for travel between India and the UAE, in addition to Business and Economy class. Notably, Dubai is Vistara’s second international destination in its network.
Fittingly, Vistara, which is a JV of Tata and Singapore Airlines, celebrated the occasion with all the customers on the inaugural flight. To make their experience equally memorable, the airline presented them a gift bag of memorabilia and chocolates, according to the airline statement.
Vistara’s Chief Executive Officer, Leslie Thng, said on the occasion, “With a great product and unmatched Indian hospitality, we bring something unique to the India-UAE route and are confident that travellers will enjoy flying the ‘new feeling’ with Vistara.”
Earlier this month, Vistara also inaugurated its international operations with daily flights to Singapore from Delhi and Mumbai. The airline is now poised to begin flying to the third international destination in its network, Bangkok, Thailand from August 27, 2019.
Himanshu Gupta, Chief Commissioner of Customs - Mumbai, Govt. of India, Ms. Sucheta, Deputy Commandment, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Govt. of India, and senior officials of GVK Mumbai International Airport (CSMIA) were part of the flight’s inaugural ceremony held at Mumbai Airport.

As the highest-rated Indian airline on Skytrax and TripAdvisor, Vistara has won several ‘Best Airline’ awards, and has raised the bar for operations and service delivery in the Indian aviation industry in a short span of little over four years.
