7th Pay Commission Latest News: The Department of Fisheries is inviting applications for the post of Assistant Commissioner (Fisheries) and Fisheries Research Investigation Officer. The posts have been advertised in the Employment News (22-28 February 2020). The Department works under the aegis of Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying.

The advertisement has been issued by the Department of Fisheries, Government of India. The total vacancies are two - one each for  Assistant Commissioner (Fisheries) and Fisheries Research Investigation Officer. The vacancy may increase or decrease as per the requirements of the department.

Payscale as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC):

-- Assistant Commissioner (Fisheries) - PB-3. Rs 15600-39100/- + 6600/- (GP) revised to level 12 (Rs 67700-208700/-) of pay matrix of 7th CPC

--  Fisheries Research Investigation Officer - PB-3. Rs 15600-39100/- + 5400/- (GP) revised to level 11 (Rs 56100-177500/-) of pay matrix of 7th CPC

Method of recruitment: Deputation including short term contract
