7th Pay Commission Latest News: Public Broadcaster Prasar Bharati is inviting applications for a number of sarkari jobs. These include posts of Additional Director General, Additional Director General (IT) and Deputy Director of Administration.

The state broadcaster has advertised a total of 16 vacancies for the three posts. For the position of Additional Director General, 5 vacancies have been announced while for the positions of Additional Director General (IT) and Deputy Director of Administration 1 and 10 posts respectively have been advertised.

The 5 posts advertised for the position of Additional Director General and the lone post advertised for Additional Director General (IT) are for Delhi.

-- Additional Director General (IT) -  7th CPC Level 14 pay matrix [PB-4; Rs 37400-67000 + GP - Rs 10000 (Pre-revised)

-- Deputy Director of Administration -  7th CPC Level 7 as per the 7th pay commission matrix [PB-3, Rs 15600-39100 + GP - Rs. 6600/- (Pre-revised)

Prasar Bharati is a statutory autonomous body established under the Prasar Bharati Act and came into existence on 23.11.1997. It is the Public Service Broadcaster of the country. The objectives of public service broadcasting are achieved in terms of Prasar Bharati Act through All India Radio and Doordarshan, which earlier were working as media units under the Ministry of I&B and since the above said date became constituents of Prasar Bharati.
