7th Pay Commission: These pensioners not happy with their arrears, seek govt action

While for many the 7th Pay Commission has turned out to be a good news, but it would not be wrong to say that there are host of government employees who have also shown their disappointment in regards to the recommendation made under this scheme. Each coming day there is a buzz in 7CPC either good or bad. In a latest development it is being known that, now pensioners Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) have shown unhappiness towards the arrear they receive and are seeking government implementation. In fact, to proof their point these pensioners have even staged a protest  at press enclave. 

JKBOSE penioners seek release of 7CPC arrears from January 2016. 

“It has been around two years since the 7th pay panel report has been implemented in the state, yet the benefit we are entitled to has not been released in our favour,” said Ghulam Hassan, association secretary in a Greater Kashmir report. 

Hassan reportedly added, "In this old age we are entirely dependent on the pension and it is unfortunate that the higher officials of BOSE are forcing us to come on the streets in this bone chilling cold."

Not only this, even they met the chairman of BOSE and other high official but looks like they have barely received any response from them.

It was being known that, these pensioners took to the protest with banners named as JKBOSE pensioners association’. They marched while raising slogans in favor of their demand. 

The JKBOSE pensioners are not alone in showing distress in regards to their 7CPC recommendations. In fact, there are somewhat 50 lakh government employees who are long-waiting with bated breath to see their minimum pay scale and fitment factor hike. However, government so far has nudged the news. 

These employees are demanding a fitment factor of 3.68 times with minimum pay scale of Rs 26,000. This is after the Union Cabinet revised their minimum pay to Rs 18,000 from previous Rs 7,000 per month, along with fitment factor of 2.57 times in June 2016 leading to a major hike in all central government employees salaries.
