Bharat box office collection: Salman Khan starrer Bharat might have slowed down at the box office over the last few days but it continues to achieve new milestones for the actor. The film, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Sunil Grover in important roles, had got the biggest opening of the year by earning over Rs 42 crore on day 1. Bharat had also become the fastest film to reach Rs 100 crore mark this year and is now set to breach the Rs 200 mark. By Tuesday, the Salman Khan starrer had raked in Rs 199.30 crore and is set to enter Rs 200 crore club on Wednesday.
There is literally no competition for the film at this stage with both the big releases of the last week - Game Over and Men in Black: International failing to impress the audience. The Salman Khan starrer is still running at the highest number of screens in India and the collections could continue to be steady till the upcoming weekend.
In fact, Taapsee Pannu starrer Gamer Over, which has released to positive reviews, has managed to earn just Rs 6.09 crore within first four days of release. Out of this, just Rs 2.48 crore came from the Hindi version of the movie. "#GameOver Fri 97 lacs, Sat 1.94 cr, Sun 2.04 cr, Mon 1.14 cr. Total: ₹ 6.09 cr. India biz... Language-wise breakup: #Hindi ₹ 2.48 cr, #Tamil ₹ 1.90 cr, #Telugu ₹ 1.71 cr," movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Tuesday.
The makers of the film would be hoping that Game Over picks up with positive word of mouth.
However, Bharat's real competition will come from this Friday's big release - Kabir Singh - starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in lead roles. Kabir Singh is the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy which was a massive hit. "#CensorNews: #KabirSingh certified 15 by British censors on 18 June 2019. Approved run time: 172 min, 34 sec [2 hours, 52 minutes, 34 seconds]. #Overseas #UK," Adarsh tweeted.
