Bharat box office collection prediction: It's 'Bhai' time of the year! Salman Khan is back to entertain his fans on Eid, this time starring alongside Katrina Kaif in Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Bharat', by far the biggest release of the year so far. There has been a strong around buzz around the movie since it was first announced and fans could expect a box office tsunami. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the film is expected to release on over 4000 screens in India and on over 1250 screens in the overseas market. The number of screens combined with the extended holiday should give Bharat the much needed push.
The film is based on the Korean film Ode To My Father, against the backdrop of India – Pakistan partition. Apart from Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, the film also stars Sunil Grover, Tabu, Jackie Shroff and Disha Patani in important roles. The movie has been co-produced by Reel Life Productions, Salman Khan Films and T-Series.
Film trade analyst and critic Sumit Kadel believes that Bharat could earn around Rs 37 crore on its opening day. In a YouTube video, Kadel said that the film's release will coincide with Eid which is celebrated across India. He said that it is not yet clear whether June 5 will be the last day of the Holy month of Ramzan, or Eid will be celebrated on that day. The opening collection of Bharat may depend on this.

He added that if Bharat releases on the last day of Holy month of Ramzan, it may do Rs 25-28 crore business.
The other factor that can decide the film's collection is the highly-awaited ICC ODI World Cup match between India and South Africa. Led by Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket team starts its campaign against South Africa on June 5. Given the cricket fever and soaring temperatures, people might just stay at home, affecting the film's collection.
The makers have already faced trouble and were forced to implement about 24 cuts to the film after the censor board viewed the film. The final runtime for Bharat is 167.15 minutes and it has been given a U/A certificate. In UK, the final runtime of the film is 154 min, 50 seconds and it has been certified 12A by the British censors.
