Delhi weather update: Airlines asks fliers to check for their flight status as rain lashes national capital
Delhi weather update: JetAirways has cancelled a number of its flight to and from Bengaluru airport due to partial closure of the airspace on account of Aero India show.
Delhi-NCR region witnessed a change in weather on Thursday morning as rains lashed the region. The airlines like SpiceJet, Vistara and JetAirways has issued an advisory for the fliers asking them to check for their flight status before leaving for the airport. Though no cancellation has yet been reported from the Delhi Airport, some flights to and from Bengaluru Airport may get cancelled due to partial closure of the airspace on account of Aero India show preparation.
"#WeatherUpdate Due to bad weather at Delhi (DEL), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights might get affected. The passengers are requested to keep a check on their flight status via spicejet.com," said Spicejet in a tweet.

Vistara also issued a similar advisory. "#DelhiWeatherUpdate: Thunderstorms and hail this morning in #Delhi. However, all Vistara departures out of DEL were on time. Arrivals too happening as per schedule. Please check airvistara.com or our mobile app for latest flight information," it said.

Also, a Ahmedabad-Delhi Vistara flight has been diverted to Lucknow due to the bad weather.

On the other hand, Jet Airways has issued a list of cancelled flights linked to Bengaluru till Feb 19 on account of Aero India show.

Earlier on Wednesday, IndiGo had cancelled 49 flights and announced curtailing of around 30 flights daily for the rest of February as it looks to stabilise operations and adjust crew rosters. IndiGo, which has more than 41 per cent of domestic market share, said the cancellations represent 2 per cent of its flights and that operations would be normalised completely by March 31, 2019.
