Earn Rs 1.86 lakh! This scholarship programme for girls in PG, UG on offer; register at DRDO

DRDO scholarship 2019: The Defence Research Development Organisation has announced a scholarship programme for girls for Post Graduate (PG) and Under Graduate (UG) programmes. The students who are aspiring for Post Graduate programme are offered a scholarship of upto Rs 1.86 lakh per annum (Rs 15,500 per month), Whereas the undergraduate (UG) students are offered a scholarship till Rs 1.2 lakh per annum.

DRDO scholarship will be provided in the subjects of Aerospace/ Aeronautical Engineering, Space Engineering and Rocketry/ Avionics/ Aircraft Engineering.

The last date to apply for the DRDO scholarship 2019 is till September 10.

Number of seats available for scholarship:
For the Under Graduate programme, there is 20 seat available, Whereas for Post Graduate (PG) admission, there are 10 seats available.

Eligibility criteria:
For the Under Graduate programme, the students need to secure admission in the first year of B.Tech/ BE or equivalent.

For Post Graduate (PG) admission, the candidates need to secure a minimum 60 per cent marks in Bachelor of Engineering (BE/ B.Tech).

Course duration: 
For the Under Graduate programme, the duration of the degree course is full time for 4 years (pursuing B.E/B Tech/B. Sc (Engg.))

For Post Graduate (PG) admission, the duration of the degree course is full time for 2 years (pursuing ME/M Tech/ MSc (Engg.))

Selection process:
The selection process of Post Graduate (MTech/ME) scholarship for the first year will be on the basis of valid GATE score, on a merit basis. However, the selection of Under Graduate (BTech/BE) scholarship will be on the basis of valid JEE(Main) score on a merit basis.
