In a major development, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter Scale hit Bikaner on Sunday morning at 10:36 am, news agency ANI has confirmed.

According to media reports, tremors were felt in Bikaner and some nearby areas and region of the city. 

As soon as people felt tremors and news of earthquake spread in Bikaner, people started coming out of their houses.

Administration has appealed to people to not fall prey to rumours.
