From the looks of it, Rs 200 note might not be circulated via ATMs

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is likely to circulate new denomination notes, Rs 200 notes only through bank branches and not through ATMs, a media report said. 

Eight months after the ban on Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes, RBI has now placed the printing order for new Rs 200 notes after consulting Finance Ministry.

However, the central bank is planning to circulate the new denomination currency only via bank branches and not through ATMs to avoid "another chaotic recalibration process" which was witnessed during the demonetisation period in November, as reported by Hindustan Times.

This will be similar to the circulation of low-value currency, Rs 50 and Rs 10 notes, which cannot be withdrawn from ATMs. 

Another media report suggested that, the new Rs 200 note image is going viral on social media websites. As per The Economic Times report, the note has a bluish tinge and has similar form factor as the Rs 2000 note.

At present, India has small denomination currency notes of Rs 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 50, Rs 100.
