In order to give a boost to food production in the country, the government has started Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojna, under which 40 mega food parks will be constructed. If you are willing to establish such a venture in collaboration with the government, there is an opportunity, as the applications have been sought in this regard. According to the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), for the establishment of mega food parks (MFPs) under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojna, the central government is offering many facilities. The centre will facilitate basic infrastructure, requisite land on lease, besides providing monetary aid of Rs 5 crore for establishing new food preservation units. 

Earlier on December 23, 2018, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has issues an advertisement, inviting applications till February 9, 2019. The ministry has now extended the date for submission of applications till February 28, 2019.  

According to the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, investors, converters as well as startups can submit their applications for opening mega food parks under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojna.
