Gold Box Office Collection: Akshay Kumar enters Rs 100 Cr club yet again

Gold Box Office Collection: This Akshay Kumar film's earnings have once again shown why he is one of the most bankable Bollywood stars ever and underlines his continued longevity in the industry. Now, data reveals that he has entered the Rs 100 cr club yet again. The movie was released on August 15, amidst stiff opposition from John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate, but it has maintained its lead from day 1.
Gold, which hit a total of 4000 screens in the country, garnered a collection in India of Rs 100.45 Cr after 13 days. According to Bollywood Hungama, the day wise breakup of collections in India are: Day 1 (Wed) Rs 25.25 Cr; Day 2 (Thu) Rs 8.10 Cr; Day 3 (Fri) Rs 10.10 Cr; Day 4 (Sat) Rs 12.30 Cr; Day 5 (Sun) Rs 15.55 Cr; Day 6 (Mon) Rs 4 Cr; Day 7 (Tue) Rs 4.60 Cr; Day 8 (Wed) Rs 6.10 Cr; Day 9 (Thu) Rs 3.30 Cr; Day 10 (Fri) Rs 1.85 Cr; Day 11 (Sat) Rs 3.10 Cr; Day 12 (Sun) Rs 4.75 Cr; and Day 13 (Mon) Rs 1.45 Cr.

Apart from Akshay Kumar, the star cast of the film also includes Sunny Kaushal, Vineet Kumar Singh, Kunal Kapoor and Amit Sadh. Gold is also TV actor Mouni Roy's Bollywood debut. She plays the role of Akshay Kumar’s wife in the film.
