Currently, a return ticket on Mumbai-Bangkok route costs around Rs 20,000. SpiceJet will soon also connect Mumbai with Hong Kong, Colombo, Dhaka, Riyadh and Kathmandu. In the last few weeks, SpiceJet has introduced several new flights, connecting Mumbai to Madurai, Jammu via Srinagar, Dehradun, Guwahati, Jaipur, Amritsar, Mangalore, Coimbatore. It has also increased flight frequencies to Goa, Chennai, Delhi, Patna, Hyderabad and Kolkata from Mumbai.
On Thursday, SpiceJet said it will start a daily non-stop flight on Mumbai-Jeddah sector from July 5. The low-cost carrier further said that it will start six new domestic flights from May 20 on the following sectors: Mumbai-Dehradun-Mumbai, Mumbai-Guwahati-Mumbai and Guwahati-Bagdogra-Guwahati.
"Mumbai is the third destination after Hyderabad and Kozhikode which is being connected by SpiceJet with the pilgrim city of Jeddah," said SpiceJet in a statement.
Spicejet said that for Mumbai-Jeddah trip, tickets are available at a special fare of Rs 12,399 (all-inclusive) and Rs 15,399 (all inclusive) for Jeddah-Mumbai trip.
From May 20, SpiceJet would also start second frequency flights on Mumbai-Dehradun-Mumbai sector and Mumbai-Guwahati-Mumbai sector. The airline has also announced a new flight connecting Guwahati to Bagdogra from May 20.
"SpiceJet will deploy its Boeing 737 NG aircraft on both the international as well as domestic routes," the statement said.
On May 10, Spicejet had announced additional frequencies between several cities. The airline tweeted, "Bringing the capital closer to the rest of the country and abroad! SpiceJet is delighted to introduce additional frequencies between Delhi and Mumbai, Patna, Bengaluru, Chennai, Bhopal & the City of Lights- Bangkok!"
