Indians still want a job at Flipkart but Paytm is not far behind
Flipkart has again snagged the number one place to work followed by Amazon. In 2016 too we saw the same trend prevalent. However Indians are searching for work at newer places including these.

For a second year in a row home grown e-commerce website, Flipkart appeared at the top of the list for Indians on the lookout for jobs.
Employment oriented social networking platform – LinkedIn on Thursday revealed a list of 25 top companies where Indians were looking for work.
Flipkart, the report said, has a total of 30,000 employees in India and also offers a ‘personal welcome’ to its employees who are picked up by chauffeur-driven cars and sent on a treasure hunt around the office campus.
However, One97 Communications owned Paytm is not far behind at fourth position of most sought after companies to find work in India.
The report said that the total number of employees at the firm was a mere 13,000.
The company famous for its e-wallet services of Paytm will soon be launching Paytm Payments Bank that is expected to begin operations from May 23.
Following closely was Amazon who also secured the second position for a second time and has a total employee strength of 10,000 in India.
Third on the list was KPMG, audit and management consultancy firm. The company is also one of the ‘big four’ auditors in India and has a client base of over 2,700 companies.
LinkedIn said that the company has a total employee strength of 189,000 globally.
Cab aggregator platform, Ola was at fifth position while HCL Technologies came in sixth, which the report said was ‘developing a pipeline of skilled tech talent for entry-level jobs.’
At seventh position was US based Adobe Computer Software.
Alphabet Inc however dropped in ranking from last year’s number four ranking to eighth on the list in 2017.
The company has a total of 72,000 employees globally the report said.
While OYO Rooms and Reliance Industries Limited came in at ninth and tenth positions.
