IndiGo sale: Domestic carrier IndiGo has launched a new sale under which it is offering exciting deals and discounts on domestic and international flight tickets. Called 'The big fat IndiGo sale', the latest deals come just before Christmas and New Year, allowing flyers to make last-minute plans.

Called 'The big fat IndiGo sale', the latest deals come just before Christmas and New Year, allowing flyers to make last-minute plans. Under the sale, passengers will get domestic flight tickets starting at Rs 899 and international flight tickets starting at Rs 2,999. Also, the airline is charging zero convenience fee which has made the tickets cheaper.
However, the convenience fee will not be levied only if the tickets are booked via the IndiGo website and mobile app. The offer is valid on bookings made from 6 am on December 23 to 11.59 pm on December 26. The travel period under the IndiGo ticket sale is between January 15 and April 15 next year.
"2019 is ending, but our great fares aren’t. We are bringing you the most affordable fares at zero convenience fee to grab! So, what keeps you waiting? Book that much-awaited trip with us and get going," the company said on its website. As always, this is a limited inventory offer and customers will receive discounts subject to availability and at the sole discretion of IndiGo.
IndiGo operating 1500 flights
The budget carrier has recently become the first domestic carrier to operate 1,500 flights per day, a feat which is in line with its expansion strategy. The 1,500th flight was operated in December, the airline recently confirmed. IndiGo had flown its 1,000th daily service in December last year.
The airline currently has a fleet of 249 planes and operates to 83 destinations, including 23 international ones. "We are pleased to be the first Indian airline to touch 1,500 daily departures, with one flight taking off every minute," IndiGo chief executive officer Ronojoy Dutta had said, in a statement.
IndiGo airline flies over 2.50 lakh passengers per day, he said.
