The league will be closely watched by national coaches who will be looking to fine tune their squads for the marquee tournament. But, before that, the franchises face the bigger challenge of finding the right combination for their IPL sides. And, the platform that allows them to do so is just a month away - IPL auction 2020. The action has already started with Ravichandran Ashwin moving to Delhi Capitals from Kings XI Punjab while Windies' big-hitting batsman Sherfane Rutherford was unloaded to defending champions Mumbai Indians by Delhi Capitals. A few more players switched sides during the trading window and now, the franchises are expected to release the list of players retained.
As the trading window shuts on November 14, the list of players retained and released is expected to be released after that. For those unaware, IPL 2020 auction is set to take place in Kolkata on December 19.

Delhi Capitals have the biggest balance of Rs 8.2 crore followed by Rajasthan Royals with Rs 7.15 crore, Kolkata Knight Riders with Rs 6.05 crore and Sunrisers Hyderabad with Rs 5.3 crore. Kings XI Punjab have 3.7 crore, Chennai Super Kings have Rs 3.2 crore, defending champions Mumbai Indians have Rs 3.05 crore and Royal Challengers Bangalore have Rs 1.8 crore.
