The price of a single ticket is Rs 40 and if the prize money is less than Rs 5,000, the winners can claim the money from any lottery shop in Kerala. If the amount won is above Rs 5,000, the winners will have to surrender their tickets before a bank or government lottery office with id proofs.
With seven daily and multiple bumper draws, the lottery is stated to be one of the biggest cash flows in Kerala, where the state government organises four festival bumper draws on the occasions of Onam, Vishu, Christmas and Pooja/Dussehra. The Kerala government also launches two seasonal jackpots, the monsoon and summer bumper.
In addition to the weekly lotteries listed above, Kerala State runs several seasonal 'bumper' lotteries: Xmas, Summer, Vishu, Monsoon, Thiruvonam and Pooja. Kerala lottery draws for each weekly lottery are conducted at 3.00 pm on the draw date. The lottery department publishes the lottery draw result on the official website of Kerala lotteries on the same day.
The Kerala lottery results are also be published in the Kerala Government Gazette. The prize winners would have to verify the winning numbers with the result published in the Gazette and surrender the lottery ticket within 30 days of the draw date.
