Kesari box office collection: The war based drama, starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, is doing great at the box office and is unstoppable. Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari has witnessed a robust opening weekend collection, and is expected to cross Rs 100 crore in a few days. The film, however, witnessed a drop in collection on Monday, and was slow on Tuesday, but that has not affected its charm as it continues to attract crowd to theatres. Notably, the film has earned the distinction of being the highest opening earner of this year, so far, after crossing Rs 50 crore mark in the first 3 days.
The film trade analyst, Taran Aadarsh, is quite hopeful about the prospects of Badla, which was released on March 21 (Holi), and stated that it would cross Rs 100 crore mark through his tweet, "#Kesari slows on Tue... On Monday, he stated positive about the film's India business, tweeting, "#Kesari should’ve collected in double digits on Mon... North circuits dominate, driving its biz... The movie's plot is based on the Battle Of Saragarhi, fought 122 years ago in 1897. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who led the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army and fought against Afghan troops along with 21 Sikh soldiers.
Another movie Badla, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, is also unstoppable, getting appreciation across the world. Sujoy Ghosh directed Badla has emerged as the thriller of the year, earning over Rs 75 crore in India. Film trade analyst Taran Aadarsh is very enthusisatic about the film's prospects.

Badla managed to earn Rs 38 cr in week 1, Rs 29.32 cr in Week 2, Rs 7.47 cr in weekend 3 with a total India business of Rs 74.79 cr. Taran Aadarsh also termed the crime thriller as super hit.
