Malang is the only big release of the week with Vidhu Vinod chopra's Shikara also hitting the theatres on the same day.
In a tweet on Thursday evening, Kadel predicted Malang box office collection to be between Rs 3.5 crore to Rs 4.5 crore on the first day. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film also stars Anil Kapoor in an important role. The other releases of the week include Vikram Bhatt's 'Hacked' and Hollywood films Birds of Prey and Little Women.
Kadel predicted that Shikara should earn around Rs 1.5 crore on day 1 while Hacked's box office collections can be less than Rs 10 lakh. "My opening day box office expectations from tomorrow releases- #Malang- ₹ 3.5-4.5 cr, #Shikara - 1-1.5 cr, #Hacked- ₹ 5-10 lakhs," he tweeted.

In another tweet, Kadel called Malang a torment watch. He said that Mohit Suri's direction is deplorable and you should watch the film at your own risk.

Malang's trailer was watched over 38 million times on YouTube. The film is bankrolled by Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Jay Shewakramani.
