Molestation on flight: Will support if matter reported to police, Vistara says

Dangal actor on Sunday alleged that she was molested by a co-passenger on board a Vistara flight from Delhi to Mumbai on Saturday.
She started a 'story' on Instagram for her followers where she had this to say.
“So, I was in a flight travelling from Delhi to Mumbai today and right behind me one middle-aged man who made my two-hour journey miserable. I tried to record it on phone to understand it better because the cabin lights were dimmed, I failed to get it. The lights were dimmed, so it was even worse. It continued for another 5-10 minutes and then I was sure of it. He kept nudging my shoulder and continued to move his foot up and down my back and neck.”
Peeved at the incident the actor managed to get a picture of the accused’s foot, which has been captured on social media.
"I ignored it the first time. Blamed the turbulance for it. Until I woke up to this PLEASENT SIGHT of his BEAUTIFUL foot rubbing my back and neck," she said in her Instagram post.

She also reportedly screamed at the accused passenger during the descent of the flight, ANI reported in a Tweet.
Vistara in an official statement said, “We will support Ms. (Actor's name) in every way required and also if she decides to report the matter to the police.”
The actor has been recognised for her performances in Dangal (2016) and Secret Superstar, which released this year.
“We are aware of the incident reported by Ms. (Actor's name) onboard our flight UK981 last night from Delhi to Mumbai. We are carrying out a detailed investigation of the incident which apparently involved a male passenger on the flight. We are talking to our crew who were serving Ms. (Actor's name) to understand the incident at greater length, and reaching out to fellow passengers as well.
Further the airline added, “It appears crew only became aware of something amiss during final descent when they were seated for landing. Further details will come from the investigation which is currently ongoing in full force.”

Ministry of Civil Aviation and Directorate General of Civil Aviation has sought details from Vistara over the alleged molestation attempt incident.
ANI also reported a police officer visited the hotel where the actor is staying in Mumbai to record her statement this morning.
Continuing her Instagram video when she landed, the actor said, “No one will help us if we don't decide to help ourselves. This is the worst thing."
