Proud placement moment! Two University of Hyderabad students bag Rs 45 lakh pay package from Austria-based firm
The students, Pankaj Venuturapalli and Mounika Akula of MTech (Integrated Circuits Technology) department at Centre for Advanced Studies in Electronics Science and Technology (CASEST), School of Physics, have been hired by an Austria-based firm with a package of Rs 45 lakh per annum.
The success of any qualification depends on what you are able to make of it. And, there is probably no better way to decide that than the actual performance during the placement season. As it turns out, two students from University of Hyderabad (UoH) have made the country proud in the recent-held placement season.
The students, Pankaj Venuturapalli and Mounika Akula of MTech (Integrated Circuits Technology) department at Centre for Advanced Studies in Electronics Science and Technology (CASEST), School of Physics, have been hired by an Austria-based firm with a package of Rs 45 lakh per annum.
Both these students have secured the same package and have been hired by the same firm as well - the Silicon Austria Labs (SAL), Austria.
Pankaj and Mounika will now work at the Silicon Austria Labs, Austria on cutting edge radio frequency IC design research related to 5G and Massive-MIMO. UoH V-C Prof Appa Rao Podile, CASEST head Prof Samrat L Sabat and students’ research supervisor Dr. Vijaya Sankara Rao Pasupureddi congratulated the students.
In 2016, another student from the university was offered a whopping pay package of Rs 40 lakh. The offer was made by the Japanese major Works Application Co Ltd. That year, a total of 1,564 students had graduated from the university. The Rs 40 lakh package was in addition to other benefits to Ravichandra Mangipudi, an MCA from the School of Computer & Information Sciences, to work as an R&D engineer in its Singapore facility.
The company has presence in Shanghai, Chennai, Los Angeles and New York, and has more than 2,800 employees worldwide.
