Sensex, Nifty at record-high; IndiGo in focus
At 0922 hours Sensex was trading at 32,428.21, up 118.33 points or 0.37%, while Nifty was at 10,040.45, up 25.95 points or 0.26%.
Domestic markets on Monday opened in green with BSE Sensex up over 100 points and NSE Nifty maintaining above 10,000-level on positive global cues.
At 0922 hours Sensex was trading at 32,428.21, up 118.33 points or 0.37%, while Nifty was at 10,040.45, up 25.95 points or 0.26%.
On 30-share benchmark, among top gainers were Larsen & Toubro (3.39%), Kotak Mahindra Bank (1.33%), ICICI Bank (1.18%), Power Grid (1.10%) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (1%). Among top losers were Sun Pharma (-1.09%), Dr Reddy's Lab (-1.08%), ITC (-0.98%), Lupin (-0.80%) and Tata Consultancy Services (-0.71%).
Godrej Consumer Products, IndiGo, Bank of Maharashtra, Music Broadcast and others are set to announce their financial results for the quarter ended on June 30.
Security and Intelligence Services (India) Limited (SIS) is launching its initial public offering (IPO) on today by offering 9,565,404 equity shares including fresh issue and an offer for sale. The IPO will close on August 02, 2017.
The IPO is fixed at lower band of Rs 805 per piece and upper band of Rs 815 per piece.
On global front, according to Reuters report, Asian shares turned positive after solid Chinese data on Monday following a lacklustre start, while the dollar edged up but remained capped by U.S. political uncertainty.
MSCI`s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan reversed early losses to rise 0.1 percent. Japan`s Nikkei fell 0.1 percent, with the firm yen offsetting news the country`s industrial output rebounded in June from a decline in May.
