Key equity indices of India-Sensex and Nifty-opened in green in the morning trade on Friday ahead of the state elections results.
At 09:36 hours, the 30-scrip Sensex index was trading up 0.19% or 53.71 points at 28,982.84 on the BSE.

Similarly, the 50-scrip Nifty index was trading up 0.23% or 20.25 points at 8,947.25 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The exit poll gives some indication about outcome of election results.
Results of assembly elections of five states- Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur - will be announced on March 11.
All eyes are on results of Uttar Pradesh (UP) elections that gives parliament most number of representatives.
