The key Indian equity indices on Monday opened in the red following global cues.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index Sensex was trading 117.61 points or 0.45% lower soon after opening.
The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading 33.65 points or 0.41% lower at 8,080.65 points.

The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 26,303.52 points, was trading at 26,198.73 points at 09:16 am, lower 117.61 points or 0.45% from the previous day's close at 26,316.34 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 26,303.52 points and a low of 26,183.22 points in the trade so far.
