Stock Market: Sensex rises 271 points, Nifty at 12,180; Indiabulls Real Estate, Vodafone Idea, Au Small Finance Bank stocks rise
BSE Sensex skyrocketed 271 points and closed at 41,386 levels while the Nifty-50 index went up 73 points and closed at 12,180 levels.
The stock market of Indian finally ended in the green zone after trading range-bound for the last two trading sessions. The BSE Sensex skyrocketed 271 points and closed at 41,386 levels while the Nifty-50 index went up 73 points and closed at 12,180 levels. Bank Nifty index soared 302 points and closed at 31,004 mark.
Speaking on the current market scenario Simi Bhaumik, a SEBI registered technical share market expert said, "Overall the market is bullish as the market has closed above 12,150 we can expect further rise up to 12,300 levels if the Nifty index opens and sustains above 12,150 levels." She said that metal, auto and banking, especially the private bank shares will lead the rise in Indian indices.

Shares of Kothari Products, SBI, Saboo Sodium Chloro, Yes Bank, Tata Power, Reliance Industries, Tata Motors and Infosys were among the most trending stocks in the intraday trade while shares of Indian Oil Corporation, Power Grid Corporation, Axis Bank, larsen & Turbo, Indiabulls and ICICI Bank were among the most active stocks in the intraday trade.
Real estate stocks led the bull run on Dalal Street as the BSE Realty index soared over 2 per cent in the intraday trade session. Realty major Godrej Properties shares skyrocketed 6.39 per cent, Indiabulls Real Estate shares soared 4.93 per cent, Prestige Estates Projects stock price surged near 4 per cent, Sunteck Realty stocks went up 2.58 per cent while shares of Sobha scaled 1.28 per cent.
Telecom stocks also witnessed some fresh buying in the intraday trade. Telecom major Vodafone Idea share price skyrocketed 4.97 per cent, Sterlite Technologies shares soared 2.86 per cent, Tejas Networks stocks went up 1.75 per cent, Reliance Communications stock price added 1.20 per cent while Bharti Airtel share price went northward 1.80 per cent.
Among the major Asian indices, the Japanese Nikkei slipped 0.98 per cent, South Korean Kospi went down 0.93 per cent, Hang Seng crashed 1.52 per cent while the Shanghai index nosedived 2.75 per cent in the intraday trade session.
