Telecom Sector: The Telecom Commission on Wednesday approved the recommendations of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) with regard to net neutrality. The policy aims to give shape to the government's agenda to expand the internet to every corner, thereby giving a push to its Digital India initiative. The policy also proposes to review various levies like licence fees, spectrum usage charges, and universal service obligation fund. Telecom Commission is the highest policymaking body in the department of telecommunications (DoT).
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd: The company's US subsidiary, DUSA Pharmaceuticals, has filed a trade secret misappropriation and interference claim against Biofrontera Inc. in the district court of Massachusetts.
Shree Cement: The company's wholly owned step-down subsidiary company viz. Shree International Holding Limited incorporated in UAE on July 11, 2018, completed the acquisition of 97.61 per cent stake Union Cement Company, UAE (UCC).
