Top 5 stocks in focus on July 24: Idea Cellular, Syngene to PNB; here are 5 newsmakers of the day

Indian markets closed on a strong note on Monday and this strength was supported by sustained buying in bank, metal, FMCG and telecom stocks. But there were few stocks that made news yesterday after the market was closed and can have an impact on the market today. Here is the list of five newsmakers that can have its impact on the market on July 24: 

Idea Cellular: Idea and Vodafone India merger have moved a step closer as they have paid their dues to the Department of Telecom (DoT) on Monday. The dues include Rs 3,926 crore in cash and Rs 3,322 crore in bank guarantees, totalling Rs 7,246 crore.

Syngene International: The Biocon's research subsidiary, Syngene, has announced the extension of the scope of its R&D collaboration with Baxter Healthcare Corporation. The duration of the new agreement has now been extended until 2024.

IZMO Ltd: The company has won a multi-crore order from a leading OEM in Mexico for its car visualiser product. The Car Visualiser product is a unique solution which provides extremely high-quality multi-media content for the desktop and more importantly, the mobile market.

Punjab National Bank (PNB): Reports suggest that the back has received Rs 2,816 crore capital infusion from the government. 

Allahabad Bank: The bank has also received a capital infusion of Rs 1,790 crore from the government.
