UPSC Examination 2019: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited objection or representation on the recently held Civil Services Main Examination, and the last date submit the same is October 14, 2019 till 6 pm. Those candidates who wish to submit their representation on the Civil Services Main exam question paper need to first login of the official website.
Notably, the UPSC has released the question papers for candidate's reference, and these question papers were released on October 4, 2019, and they can be found in the 'Active Examination' section.
The Main examination is conducted for 9 papers, including English and one Indian Language, one essay paper, 4 General Studies paper, and 2 optional papers. As many as 11,845 candidates qualified this year for the Civil Services Main exam after clearing their prelims test.
According to the official notifications, UPSC is expected to fill close to 90 vacant positions in the Indian Forest Services and approximately 896 vacancies in the Indian Civil Services, which includes 39 posts for people with benchmark disabilities.
The candidates who qualify in the Civil Services Prelims examination are allowed to take the Main exams, which is followed by interview, and then only final selection takes place. The written test will carry a total of 1750 marks and the interview will be of 275 marks in total.

The Civil Services Examination is a nationwide competitive examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment to various Civil Services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS). Referred to as the UPSC examination, it is conducted in three phases, comprising a preliminary examination consisting of two objective-type papers--General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper II, and the main examination consisting of nine papers of conventional type, wherein two papers are qualifying and only marks of seven are counted.
