Meanwhile the Health Ministry has issued a health advisory for the people, telling them to keep safe.
The average temperature this year has seen a jump upto 5 to 7% and most of the cities with high temperatures are from Rajasthan. 2019 could be India's hottest year, if this situation sustains for few few weeks more. The health ministry has issued guidelines, like wearing cotton clothes, avoid going outside home and use towels, umbrella, caps etc to keep yourself safe from heat.
People should consume lassi (butter milk), lemonade, ORS in a high quantity to avoid dehydration in the body. The ministry has also advised to consume fruits like watermelon, muskmelon, cucumber and lemons in diets. If possible, make sure you keep your rooms colder with the use of ACs, Fans or coolers.
The ministry has also advised children, older people and pregnant women to avoid going outside homes. The 10 hottest cities in India are: Churu (50.3 degrees), Ganganagar (48.8 degrees), Bikaner (48.4 degrees), Phalodi (48.2 degrees), Jaisalmer (47.8 degrees), Nowgong (47.7 degrees), Narnaul (47.6 degrees), Kota (47.5 degrees), Pilani (47.5 degrees) and Barmer (47.2 degrees).
