7th Pay Commission: Several announcements have recently been made by the Central as well as state governments to extend benefits to employees as well as pensioners. In one such key decision, the Modi government has extended a bumper hike in the salary of employees associated with health services. The employees of this department will get increased pay from Rs 4100 to Rs 5300 per month, and the benefit will be considered from July 1, 2017. It means the employees will get arrears of about 26 months.
According to the government order, whose copy is in possession of Zee Business Digital, the non-ministerial staff of Group A and Group B, excluding nurses and doctors, will get Hospital Patient Care Allowance, HPCA and Patient Care Allowance (PCA). These officials are posted in the health services of the Central government.
Accordingly, the 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Level 8 and above employees will get HPCA / PCA of Rs 4100 per month. At the same time, employees of Level 9 and above will get Rs 5300 per month HPCA / PCA.
Former chairman of AG office, Brotherhood HS Tiwari told Zee Business that doctors and nurses get separate allowances, therefore, they are not part of this benefit. In this category, the employees posted as pharmacists, lab technicians, lab boys, thousands of staff employed at government pharmacies.

According to the Health Ministry, those employees who are on leave for more than one month or more, they will not be able to get this allowance. Notably, this order will come into force from July 1, 2017.
