In a big move, the salary of non-gazetted medical employees of Indian Railways may be increased by up to 21,000.
These employees will get promotions
Non-gazetted medical staff of Indian Railways may soon hear the good news, as the promotions of these employees had been pending for long. Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary, All India Railway Mines Federation, said that non-gazetted medical staff will get early promotions, which has already been agreed with the railway management. The Railway Board has approved the promotions of these employees and there will be a significant increase in the salary of these employees soon. He also said that promotions are being given in as many as eight categories of Indian Railways.
Hike in 7th Pay Commission linked salary
The salaries of medical staff may get an increase by up to Rs 5,000 per month after getting promotions. In addition to this there will be a jump in monthly HRA, DA and TA. Their salary is expected to get an increase from Rs 5,000 per month to Rs 21,000 as per reports. Railway Board has already agreed to promote staff in 8 categories including radiographers, lab staff, health and malaria inspectors, staff nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists, dietitians and family welfare organisations.

Protests by Central Government employees
Central government employees can get a big gift by the end of the month as the Modi govt may take a decision to increase the minimum wage hike and the fitment factor in the next cabinet meeting. Central employees have been demanding a raise in minimum wages to 26,000 for quite some time now, as the employees are currently getting a minimum starting wage of Rs 18,000. The government may increase the staff fitment factor from 2.57 per cent to 3.68 per cent, which will lead to an increase of Rs 8,000 in a minimum salary of the employees at the starting level.
