7th Pay Commission latest news: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has good news for job seekers looking for government jobs. The RRB has notified vacancies for the post of Clerk, Senior Clerks in the Indian Railways. The total number of vacancies notified in the RRB notification is 251. Out of these 251 vacancies, 171 vacancies are for the Clerks while rest 80 vacancies are for the post of Senior Clerks. The RRB will start receiving applications from 20th December 2019 and the last date is 19 January 2020. Those who are interested in applying to the posts notified by the RRB can log in at rrccr.com for the latest updates and related details like minimum qualification required, the last date to apply, etc. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by logging in at rrccr.com — official website of the RRB. After selection, the selected candidates will get pay and perks as per the recommendations of the 7th CPC, which was approved by the Central Government.
Eligibility Criteria
For the post of Junior Clerk, the applicant has to be at least 12th pass. He or she should have English typing speed 30 words per minute and Hindi typing speed of 25 words per minute. For the post of Senior Clerk, the applicant should be a graduate from a recognized university. It has to be noted that there is no application fee being asked by the RRB from the applicants.

Interest and the eligible applicant should not be more than 42 years of age if he or she belongs to the general category. In the case of OBC, there is a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit while for the SC/ST applicants, the upper age limit relaxation is 5 years.
Exam Pattern
For both posts notified in the RRB job notification, the examination will be conducted online. The online exam will be of two stages — written and typing. In the first stage exam, there will be a written test and those who will pass that exam will be asked for the second stage test for typing.
