EPFO EPS pension 95 latest news: In India's fight against the deadly Coronavirus, the Modi Government is taking extra care of the pensioners. Earlier, it allowed the central government employees to avail of medical leave up to April 4th without submitting the medical certificate, and now it has directed the Employees' Provident Fund (EPFO) to disburse pension of the EPS or Employees Pension Scheme subscribers in advance. After the crackdown on Coronavirus, the Modi Government has been vigilant towards the timely payment of the EPS pensioners. As per an earlier EPFO status report, it had been made clear that all pensioners will get their pension on time. But, the latest decision is one step ahead.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment made the announcement citing, "Central Provident Fund Commissioner (CPFC) had directed to process pension payments in all 135 offices of EPFO in advance so that no inconvenience is caused to pensioners on account of nationwide lockdown for containing Covid-19 outbreak." Now, after the new orders by CPFC, all EPS 95 subscribers will get their pension by 30th March. The scheduled date for pension disbursal by the EPFO is the last working day of the month.

The press statement issued by the Ministry of Labour and Employment went on to add that the EPFO officers and staff worked with dedication under most difficult circumstances but completed the processing of pension payments in all 135 offices and provided pensioner wise pension payment details for 65 lakh pensioners along with requisite cheques to all pension disbursing banks. Link nodal branches of all pension disbursing banks throughout India have been directed to ensure credit of pension in the accounts of pensioners by 30th March 2020. Thus timely credit of pension at this hour of need has been ensured by all 135 field offices. EPFO is committed to serving its pensioners at all times.
