PAN Aadhaar Link: The Income Tax Department has made it mandatory for all Permanent Account Number (PAN) and Aadhaar Card-holders to link both before 31st of March 2020. In case you have failed to do so, the Income Tax Department will have no choice but to make your PAN card inoperative. The Income Tax Department made the announcement on its official Twitter handle and asked Indian citizens to do the PAN Aadhaar link by 31st of March 2020. Last month, the Income Tax Department had reprimanded 17 crore PAN cardholders to do their PAN Aadhaar link as they were not linked.
In its latest tweet from its official Twitter handle, the Income Tax Department said, "Don't miss the deadline! It is mandatory to link your PAN and Aadhaar before 31st March, 2020. You can do it through Biometric Aadhaar authentication & also by visiting the PAN service centers of NSDL and UTITSL #PANAadhaarLinking."
