To get the SBI account balance through SMS service, the SBI account holder needs to send an SMS with text message 'BAL' to the toll-free number 09223766666. For SBI account mini statement through SMS Service, the SBI account holder needs to snd an SMS writing 'MSTMT' and send the message to the toll-free number 09223766666.
However, to avail the SBI SMS Service, SBI customers must have their mobile number registered with SBI account. If there is a change in the mobile phone number, they can get their new mobile phone registered through the SBI SMS Service as well. What they need is to send an SMS from the same mobile number at toll-free number 09223488888. The format of the message text is “REG<space>Account Number." SBI will send a registration confirmation message. Customers can now use this service to check the SBI account balance, mini statement, cheque book request, e-statement, education loan interest certificate and home loan interest certificate.
