Flipkart revises returns policy; lowers period from 30 to 10 days

India's largest e-commerce player Flipkart has revised its returns policy on some categories of products from 30 days to 10 days. 

“Our returns policy and process continues to be the best and the easiest in the industry. The revised return timeline is aimed at ensuring a more seamless experience for both sellers and customers to ensure quicker arrangement of products and timely replacement," Flipkart said in a release on Monday. 

In the past, e-commerce companies like Amazon and Snapdeal had revised their returns policy on electronic products like laptops, tablets, desktops, cameras, etc., 

As per Flipkart's new returns policy, it now has 10 days as returns policy for electronics, mobile and home and kitchen categories.

However, the company has not changed its 30 days returns policy on lifestyle fashion and large appliances category. 

The new returns policy along with the revised structure in shipping and returns will enable sellers to improve their quality of services while offering them increased predictability, Flipkart said.
